About the Location: Â
The training takes place in the beautiful forests of countryside Sweden, in the small village of Hedekas. Today a sleepy Swedish village shared equally shared by human farmers, elves and ancient dead but once upon a time the home of Seafaring Rock Carvers of the Bronze age and an important part of the old Kingdom of Alvhem (Elvenheim), ruled by kings like Gandalf The Old. This is where events like the kingly wars mentioned in the Heimskringla the crowning of king Sverre of Norway in the 12th century and Ages and last but not least, where J.R.R. Tolkien found lots of inspiration for his books on the “Hobbit” and “Lord of The Rings”.  In other words; The perfect place to connect with the spirits of the land throughout time and learn the magic of these lands.

Schedule & Content:
Day 1 – Ginnungagap & Trolldom Initiation.
The workshop begins in the empty space of Ginnungagap – and out of this we give birth to the Trolldom Practitioner. Understanding Traditional Trolldom initiations and the process of seeing, birthing, naming, protecting and nurturing.

Day 2. The Regin-Nagle & Pillar of the World - Value, Direction, Purpose in Trolldom.
This day is dedicated to exploring, finding and establishing experience of purpose and be of good use (Nytta) to ourselves, others and the world.

Day 3. Odens Day - Trolldom capacity to do & The Path of Wisdom.
This day is dedicated to increasing magical capacity and capability and using the path of Wisdom, Besvärjelser & Seidr to do so. Verbal & Pre-Verbal practices and techniques.

Day 4. The Gifts of Eir & The Iviðjur – Spiritual & Energetic Nurturance and Growth.
Discovering some of the most valuable gifts of Eir(Grace) and Nature and being able to use them oneself, is often described in our old lore as gifts of Maidens and Giantesses (Trolls/Witches). On this day we will explore them and find out how we can be deeply spiritually nurtured as well as nurture others by using these gifts.

Day 5. Jord - Befriending Nature.
How to relate to Spirit, Spirits of the Worlds and the World at large. The First & the Last on the Great Wheel, The Horned one and his sacrifice – The story of Form, Makt (Power) and Livshjulet/Årshjulet - the great Cycle of Time and Creation. How these are used in Trolldom & Scandinavian folk cultural practices to create harmony and participate in building a good future.

Instructor:
The workshop is held by Johannes B. Gårdbäck, author of “Trolldom – Spels & Methods of the Norse Folkmagic Tradition”. Johannes has 30 years of experience as a professional practitioner and for the last 5 years he has taught hundreds of students and apprentices the ways of Trolldom & Nordic Spirituality.

Food & Accommodation: Meals and accommodation are not included and must be arranged by the participant.
There is a local fast food place (no vegetarian, no vegan, no lactose/gluten free food). There is a nearby grocery shop.

Travel Directions: Hedekas is a bit off the beaten track but we can assist travel directions and information from anywhere within Sweden. Car rental & Car pooling is recommended.
